Defibtech

Automatic External Defibrillator - AED

When Defibtech partnered with Ideaz, they were a small start-up with some proprietary technology and a mission; but did not have a product. After extensive research, we set out to develop an innovative, game-changing AED that would be low cost and suitable for first responders, as well as consumers.

The solution was to keep the product design, engineering, and user-interface extremely simple and intuitive. Where lives can be saved or lost in minutes, it was imperative that was ready to use without hesitation and was flawless in its function.

The Defibtech LifeLine line of AED’s have been a huge success and garnered countless awards – for nearly 20 years! They can be found in familiar places like O’Hare Airport and Whole Foods as well as thousands of other locations around the world. The Defibetech LifeLine AED’s have saved countless lives over the last two decades and remains a market leader.

Defibtech was sold to Nihon Kohden, which is Japan’s leading manufacturer and provider of electronic medical equipment. With annual sales topping $1.5 billion, Nihon Kohden is one of the top 100 medical device companies in the world.
