Anteris
TAVR Valve and Delivery System
A new, less invasive, procedure for patients with severe aortic stenosis is known as a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Anteris has significant experience with structural heart tissue and is a leader in this area. They were able to create the first and only 3D formed single piece TAVR valve using their superior tissue.
With this valve, they needed a stent design and catheter delivery system could compete in a highly competitive sector. Ideaz was challenged with design/engineering the smallest French size catheter and valve on the market.
Ideaz helped lead the innovation and problem solving to file for multiple patents and begin benchtop testing of the stented valve to further optimize the design and understand what was possible with this unique tissue.
With such a challenging medical application, Ideaz developed and prototyped countless solutions to address new developments discovered along the way.
Beyond the valve and delivery system, Ideaz helped work on the first Hydropack solution that can save technicians up to 45 minutes of time in the cath lab valve for assembly.
All of these innovations were recently at the London Valves PCR show.
