Job Summary
The Director of Sales and Client Relations will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain clients, enhancing our market presence, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role does not involve managing a sales team but rather focuses on direct client interaction, project management, and managing strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a business development strategy that aligns with IDEAZ’s goals and values
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their experience with IDEAZ is exceptional
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and direct outreach
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure project goals are met and client expectations are exceeded
- Manage client accounts, including contract negotiation, project timelines, and budgeting
- Provide input on product development and innovation based on client feedback and market trends
- Manage outside resources to support sales and marketing activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or client relationship management, preferably in the design, engineering, consultancy or R&D sectors
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and accountable
- Strong understanding of design and engineering principles to effectively communicate with both clients and internal team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
- Ability to work independently in a small team environment, managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
